FANTASY DISCOVERY

She came into my life out of nowhere

Completely unexpected and catching my eye

She looked to me, struck my heart as if she had always been there

My heart melting, skipping a beat, could I even begin to try?

She moved slowly, smoothly gliding her fingers over her hips

Seductive, enticing, never breaking her gaze from mine

As she draws nearer, the sunlight reflecting off her sublime lips

I stand before her, knees slightly quivering, frozen in time

Moving slowly closer, longing  to connect, hoping this is not a dream

She continues to glide ever so near~leaning her face towards me

Meeting her lips, almost touching, brushes ever so slightly, my head gleams 

Fantasy slipping towards reality~touching her lips, can this be?

Hands slightly tremble, reaching out to embrace this new found love

Glimmering hands entwine~the circle completes, life-force joined as one

absorbed in golden light, merging together, beaming affirmation from above

Letting it begin, starting the journey of discovery under the sun.

IT'S NOT EASY BEING DUMPED

Been on both sides of that fence
Can't say I have enjoyed either side
who would have thought our love would ever die
Erased by the one whom you thought would always try
Oh yes, so easy to say I should have known from the start
Truth be known, I couldn't possibly have believed she was capable of such hurt
And while my heart was filleted on the table,
she enveloped me in another wave of hurt, proving she is quite able
Well, as I was told by another admirer, he  hoped she would dump my sorry ass
Sweet revenge came at last although too much time had passed
I still feel sorrow for the loss but I know you don't believe me to be capable
Now I'm on the other end, laying broken and unstable
I know all things come to pass
I move on hoping to mend pieces of broken glass
She must think true love is easy to find
How else could she become so unkind
Unable to even tell me to my face
all I keep repeating is, yours is no disgrace

FINDING OURSELVES

We seek ourselves on higher ground

sometimes weakness rules the night

other times it's pure delight

In darkness, the light can be found

I need to understand the compromise 

Not be afraid to become surprised

Our love will always be there

All we need is provided for those who ask

We only need to accept our lord and have no fear

Let his love be our guiding light through all our tasks

Treat each other as we would like to be treated

If we can truly do this, we can never feel defeated

Trust in ourselves first, then in those who have touched our life

Don't be consumed by the tears of despair

open our hearts and be blessed with hands of repair

Restoration be our salvation, our redeeming quality

We've been given this precious gift of life beyond death

With so little asked for in return other than belief

And doing for others what goodness has bestowed upon us

Seems like a simple choice that can bring so much relief

If we're open to change we can learn how to trust

As I await the new life ahead of me

I keep the faith born from his tree 

LOVE OF MY LIFE

I've been thinking of my love

She makes me feel like an angel up above

Truth is she is the sweetest angel to ever bless my life

I love her so much and one day will make her my wife

Our hearts bound together with no demands for ourselves

Rich in rewards for a life not driven by wealth

How can I describe how my love has taught me how to love

Each time I think our love cannot grow

she'll pull me closer taking me into a deeper bliss from above

Convincing me that true love knows no limits
Unconditional love growing with her forever

To witness such joy that I have never imagined could be

The blessings my love brings only for me

Our love is so special as we are truly blessed

with two hearts joined as one we stand above the rest

We will soon be together having conquered our trials

Our love will not be denied, we will journey many miles

How does one give thanks for such a precious gift she gives asking for nothing more

than to give her back with abundant lust for life like never before

A love like this I could never let go

Knowing in our heart that it can only grow


One day soon I'll show up on her door

Pull up wearing a rose in my teeth holding an umbrella and playing Blue October eighteenth floor
This I will do when we are ready to be joined as one
Knowing in our hearts what our life will become
